Perfect location: Hotel Donauwalzer is located on the Hernalser Gürtel, at the Vienna general hospital (AKH), within walking distance of the city center, right at the subway (U6 Alserstrasse), with the street car right outside the door, which will take you to Universität/Schottentor after only a few stations.

Then we are happy to tell you that the city hall as well as the west train station is located only a few minutes from us. The Volksoper is also nearby. Or the Raimund theater, where you can enjoy the finest musicals. Or the carriage museum. Or Vienna's oldest ice skating rink. Or the Brunnenmarkt market with its many restaurants and pubs, or…

Vienna by bike? Then rent a city bike at the subway station (U6 Alserstrasse) and ride on the bike path which runs right in front of our hotel.

Environment: We minimize our ecological footprints.
In 2011, Vienna was the city with the highest quality of life. So that it stays this way, we also make our own contribution. We would also like to offer our children a livable city.

As one of the first hotels in Vienna, we have a solar-powered water heating system. We buy exclusively environmentally-friendly cleaning agents, work together with certified businesses, and use energy-saving bulbs throughout most of the hotel. Our new windows also have thermal insulating properties, and the the water savers in all rooms are our newest achievement.

Therefore, we ask that you leave you towels hanging on the hook if you want to reuse them. If they are not hanging, you will receive new ones.

Everyday is Sunday. At least for breakfast.

As if the extensive breakfast buffet wasn't reason enough to visit our hotel in Vienna. Not only because of the numerous specialties but also because of the Viennese waltz music, which accompanies breakfast everyday.

It's a shame that you can't smell the fresh coffee now, bite into a tasty Kaiser roll, enjoy a glass of sparkling wine after an evening at the opera, or flip through your guidebook as you savor one of the delicious egg disher or other warm dishes....

But sometimes it can also be a difficult thing: when you're already full and you haven't tried everything yet. But morning comes everyday at Hotel Donauwalzer in Vienna.

Quiet in the middle of the city

It doesn't exist you say? We say it does!

Book one of our rooms facing the park and wake up to birds singing. Because you know what quiet in the city means. And if you don't have a room facing the park: our new sound insulating windows block out most of the noise of the city.

You can also enjoy our landscaped inner courtyard: when the sun rises we set out loungers for you so that you can recharge your batteries after an eventful day in the city center. The gurgling of the goldfish pond will help with this. And if this is not enough: the U6 will bring you in just a few minutes to the Danube and to the Danube island.  This is pure relaxation over 20 km.

A wellness oasis just for me!

Another aspect we are proud of is our wellness oasis.
In hardly any other 3 star hotel in the center of Vienna will you find a sauna, an infrared cabin, and a hot tub including relaxing loungers.

And if you want a wellness oasis just for yourself, then simply book one of our rooms with a hot tub. Or one with a water bed? You have to make this decision for yourself.
